FINDING A SMILE WHEN YOU NEED ONE

 

There are those of us who wake up each morning with a grin. Those of us who wake up in a good mood and are able to maintain that smile throughout the day.  Some of us wake up to Yoga or mediation, and that calm state can bring a smile. Or perhaps a hug, a text, or a call that reminds you that someone cares.

For others we go to sleep at night with worry on the mind. We may wake up feeling groggy and irritable. 

So, what's the secret? How do some people greet each day with a smile?

You may find that forcing that smile on your face regardless of your mood will actually help.  Studies show that forcing smiles, laughter, or other emotions can actually trick or train your brain to feel those emotions.  So, as so many of us "fake it until you make it" through many aspects of our lives, don't forget to add a fake smile or fake laugh. You may just find that it can actually have real results.
